Schismogenesis
Dance performance - 13-18 years
The concept of schismogenesis can in short be described as social behavior between the individual, which creates distance and balance of power - dominance and oppression. In this performance we meet two characters who through the dance express different forms of power and powerlessness. The relationship between the two characters is clearly out of balance. A feeling of discomfort quickly manifests itself in the audience. Thoughts of oppression and the use of force emerge. Means such as light and shadow, together with music composed for the performance give a physical, honest and naked expression. The scenography, together with lighting effects, gives in parts of the premiere associations to high fences. Someone is locked up, or maybe in jail? Is there hope? Will the weak rise? There are many questions that arise in the face of the premise.
