Rami og Yuli
Puppet theater / performance - 9-12 years
The performance Rami and Yuli is based on William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, as well as one of the greatest and most ongoing conflicts of our time in the Middle East. With this as a starting point, Animal Productions seeks to shed light on what can happen when a conflict created and exercised by adults, both affects and goes beyond the possibilities of innocent children to their own life development. The performance sheds light on the fact that the issue does not only belong to the past or fiction. The public will be able to associate with the polarization between the West and the Muslim part of the world and with conflicts in our country for cultural or religious reasons. The show can also be read on a micro level - to enmity in divorce or neighborhoods that parents pass on to their children. Children are affected by or in the worst case heirs of enmity the adults own. The performance seeks to shed light on the lack of aspect of children's freedom that lies in the adults' influence regarding hostility and prejudice.
