Improopera
Music / theatre -13-15 years
There are many rules for how to behave during a performance of classical music, such as when to clap, how to sit and how to dress. These rules cause many young people to distance themselves from this type of music and choose to listen to something else. The artists Rabben and Myrvol will break some of these rules in order to act as a door opener for young people to classical music. The audience is included in the performance through improvisation and will have different roles as the action unfolds. Together they will solve a crime mystery, and it will be uncertain whether what is presented is real or whether it is just acting. The improvised action will surprise, perhaps shock, the young people who are used to a completely different framework for performing music. By playing with the music, they will make the classical more accessible to a younger generation.
