How the war left me alive
Literature – 16-90 years
"War is everything we want to avoid, but we constantly find ourselves in the middle of it, against our will. The causes of war are many, but we are not concerned with discussing them in this book. Rather, I am drawn to the pieces of the images, which have fallen on both sides of the road, of people who were left alive by the war. The book tells stories we have heard before, and stories we may not have heard before. Each story has its own language, its own way of being conveyed, so that different readers will find a story that suits their taste. The book is also about the effect war has on people and society, about how it affects us in everyday life - whether we are journalists, doctors, military, old or young. I have written most of the stories, but I need an ending to finish the book. My desire is to write about war in a different way, a way that makes you laugh, cry and think."
