Performing arts / performance - Youth
The school can be seen as a strictly constructed room / place. Where movements and rhythms have specific meanings, and blasting these can have major effects, both positive and negative. From the young people's side, it seems like a strategy to give as little as possible in these rooms, for fear of being seen, or in the desire to be seen. Here there are also clear structures for movement for teachers and other authorities, with their own spaces and rhythms. This also applies to guests from outside. A fun exercise is to stand in a middle school yard, where you are totally overlooked, or walk through the school building and into the teacher's room without anyone seeming to notice you. With this pressure and this framework to see, move, and withdraw, Morten Liene and Eivind Seljeseth seek through the Experimental Scheme to make a study with their presence, at the same time as they want to announce that it is a study. In this pilot project, a method is tested to investigate the relationship between: Art - DKS - School through practice and theoretical approach.
