Dance - 15-19 years
Social media is becoming an increasingly important part of our lives. Or maybe a world where we stay more and more. We spend enormous amounts of time and focus on communication through new technology, often at the expense of presence in our physical environment. However, the digital world has unwritten rules, and these are especially important for young people. Those who do not master being social in the new world can quickly fall outside. Sparks and company want to explore how these two worlds create a double reality, and how this affects our society. They want to do this through abstract dance, an art form that will be opened to the public with the help of physical objects and film. How do we exist bodily while our consciousness floats in the clouds? How do we relate physically to people we have never met but still know?
