Arlette Rouge
Acrobatics / performance -
Through this performance, Lana Paic and Kirsti Ulvestad will bring back the fascination for the unreal by making a doll come alive. The doll has a scary, disturbing appearance. He looks like a shrunken old man, a dead man? Lana moves the doll across the floor as if he were alive, and it looks so real that for a moment you think he is moving himself, touching her and reacting to her movements. She wants the audience to really feel like the doll is alive. The performance is open to interpretation by the audience. In the various scenes where Lana moves with the doll, the connection between the two can be about anything. They can evoke feelings of love, disgust, loneliness, sadness, happiness and death. The artists want the young people to be surprised that they felt something, that they were touched by the performance, and that it retains an openness in the expression.
