Performing arts/dance – 16-19 years

A-project is a series of projects that examines collective and cultural phenomenon through numeric reconstruction of various occult rituals, symbols and scenarios that corresponds with a specific political or social theme. The project is initiated by the Norwegian artist Eivind Reierstad who invited different international artists and professionals for an independent collaboration for each subsequent project. At Seanse he collaborated with the Brazilian tribal fusion dancer Alexandre Guimarâres who specializes in male belly dance with cross over dance forms. A-project #6 examines the traditional “holy” dances for the Indian third sex “Hijras” in relate to modern dance in gay and transgender sub-cultures. Can the old and the new dance forms melt together to create a new spiritual language and understanding of sex today?
