Animation in Education

Animation – 9 -13 years

How can we express and tell our story through objects? How do we get students to tell their story? Animation in Education develops animation workshops for shorter and longer periods for implementation towards e.g school and cultural school. The goal is to develop skills and knowledge when using plasticine and cardboard in stop/motion film using easily accessible programs. This gives students the opportunity to combine theory and technical knowledge, and at the same time develop creativity and social skills when working together with the material and creating animated films. At Seanse, the project has received input from Seanse’s mentors, other artists and from Associate Professor Andres Mänd from the Department of Animation and Film at Volda University College.
