"Heavyweights - a children's book" has its background in a performing arts project; a performance based on facts and fables about the three largest animals in Africa. The elephant Ella loves to dance, the rhino Ninni looks a little bad and King Hippopotamus grins loudly at parties. Everyone lives by the waterhole, where a crocodile also settles down. The aim of the book is to take the fable further from the closing and instructive, to what includes, and makes children reflect further. The relationship between text and illustration is developed in an organic way and it is explored how to develop a performance into a book.
