It is demanding to get in touch with oneself as an artist, and it often costs a lot of the person seeking to create art. The performance The Dilettant's Terrible Diligence is built around the true story of the author Sara Fabricius, known under the pseudonym Cora Sandel. It follows her long, painful quest to become the painter of the great writer she ended up becoming. The story will be brought to life for the audience through a play that includes paintings that are projected on a screen. The images are 'painted' in front of the eyes of the young people through the use of stop-motion animation. Cora Sandel's story will be able to convey to the youth that inner drive and investment of time and energy is what is needed to accomplish great things.
