Piggsveis

Piggsveis aims to shed light on topics around difference and the right to be different with a focus on gender identity. In a preliminary project, Rimfrost Teaterensemble has interviewed children in 1st-4th grade and transgender people in Tromsø, and based on this written a scenic text that examines topics around gender identity. The result of the preliminary project will be a finished stage text that communicates with the target group, and a design language that together with the text will be the starting point for further production. The aim of the performance is to create tolerance and openness to live out one's own identity without shame or prejudice. Through the performance, one seeks to give a positive language to the difference that can be a help to remove the shame and taboos around the theme.
