Photo Workshop – 12-16 years

Nowadays, almost everyone are photographers. Many children and young people also take many pictures of themselves and in a society that idealises the “perfect”, this can contribute to creating insecurity and negative self-images. Through a photo workshop, photographer Kristin Aafløy Opdan and sociologist Mari Stensvik want to challenge young people to push the boundaries of what a self-portrait can be. The goal of the workshop is to give young people knowledge and skills about photography, strengthen creativity and a sense of mastery, and help them become a little better acquainted with themselves through visual storytelling.
