Dance - Youth

The performance is based on impressions from a long stay in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Part of the tension in the play lies in the relationship between facts / documentation and poetic elements that describe the inner journey of experience. Uncompromising in her search for answers to life's existential questions, Ellen Johannesen has spent much of the last three years in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery - where she, along with monks and nuns, has at times submitted to strict discipline. The course of the performance is composed along the way by dancer, filmmaker and lighting designer Svante Grogarn.
