Rings in the Water

"Rings in the water" is a musical in the making, inspired by one of the important pioneers in boat building in Møre and Romsdal county; Lars Jensen Hammeraas. During Seanse, Rolf has explored the idea and the music for the play. In 1857 Lars Jensen moved from Hardanger to Vestnes, and brought with him a lot of knowledge about boatbuilding traditions. He started building larger boats, created many jobs, spreading knowledge about the art of boat building and built over 50 boats in his years at Vestnes, and later in Ålesund. The musical will be performed by Vestnes' theater group, Shantykoret in Vestnes, musicians from Vestnes and professional actors.
