Dance & Puppet Theatre – 10-14 years
With inspiration from puppet theater and contemporary dance, Imminent Departure takes hold of the plastic to create a nonverbal performance. For fear of never finding their place in the world, plastic transforms to an ocean, to a soap bubble, an animal, small pieces of paper, feathers, until towards the end of the show it materializes into a plastic man who must find his way home amongst the chaos. A feeling that pops up in your teens, but never really goes away? A journey of where to belong? How does one find one’s place and identity in a seemingly meaningless chaos? At Seanse, Iminent Deparure have worked with their theme, the theatrical image, relationship to the target group and the intersection between puppet theater and classical dance.
