TØTSJ
In the book “Politics of touch”, Erin Manning describes how “sensing bodies continuously encounter existing political structures”. She highlights how the body and touch are an arena where the tension between culture, society and human nature is played out, the individual’s corporeality is organised within social and political power structures. By thematising touch for the age group 10-14 years, “Tøtsj” will explore this field in a transitional phase where body and touch are no longer just play, but also a nascent arena for self-awareness, shame and tension. The direct and immediate in movement can share experiences that have not yet found their linguistic expression. The performance is neither intended to moralise nor to lecture, but seeks to invite an affective dialogue that can be funny, ambiguous and complex.
