To be seen or to be looked at

To be seen or to be looked at explores how we see, and how our intentions affect the experience of what we see. Through paintings, installations, screen prints and objects made from self-tanned fish skin, the project examines the boundaries between being seen and being stared at. The project also explores how preconceptions and sensory impressions affect our experience of art, including through the use of fish skin as a material.
