52BLUE combines research and performing arts to explore listening as a physical, emotional and spatial experience. In phase 1 (August 2025) we will investigate how underwater sound affects the body through freediving, hydrophone recording and movement-based experiments. In phase 2 we will further develop these findings and test how listening can become a performative tool. Through performing experiments we will explore the interaction between sound, body and space, and how sound dynamics, silence and vibrations can shape scenography and dramaturgy.
