Krokorates

Aldona Ulstein

Figure Theatre – 10+ years

“What is justice?” asks Socrates. Krokorates is a philosophical and literary puppet show about the philosopher Socrates and his dialogues. The scenography is made of natural materials and the rhythms are inspired by Cuban music. It is important to dare to ask questions and perhaps not find answers. The story is based on the satirical story “The Crocodile” by Fyodor Dostoevsky, and centers around the Socratic dialogue and the search for wisdom. A conversation from inside the crocodile helps to make this project both absurd and puzzling.
