KALABASS
Verkstedet
Musical theatre - 6-9 years
This project is centered around the fruit calabash used by various nomadic peoples in Africa. The narrator Adama Barry was originally an African shepherd and has used this fruit as a tool for cooking, among other things. The fruit is also used to make musical instruments. This will be used in the performance, where the children will be allowed to sing and dance to the music. They are working on a story about how calabash was discovered and why it is inedible. They will also use a tapestry from Africa to put the story of the calabash fruit in context.
