Salaam – Shalom…

Narrative theater 11-14 years

Salaam - Shalom, about war and peace and such.
The project is based on Kirsti Furubotn's novel; Nothing and focuses on the concept of neutrality. Berit, travels to the Middle East as a nurse to help and care for wounded Palestinians. Despite her Christian prayer house background, she believes that she can be neutral no matter what happens around her. It ends up making her limp and tired, and it becomes almost tragicomic to follow her. In the last part of the performance, the audience participates in a role play that deals with peace, war and neutrality.
